Chester Golf Club – House Policy

Member & Guests, please help us to maintain the standards of our golf club, by observing the following:

Dress Code

• Clothing and footwear must be smart, clean, and golf club-appropriate
  
• Non-golf sportswear (football/rugby tops, tracksuits) is not permitted
  
• Hoodies may be worn if golf-appropriate
  
• Only tailored shorts may be worn
  
• Hats and caps must not be worn indoors
  
• Flip flops and sliders are not permitted
  
• Ripped, dirty, wet, or torn clothing is not acceptable
  
• Golf shoes are not permitted in the bar or restaurant, except clean summer golf shoes with soft spikes
  

Bar, Restaurant, Recreation Room & Meeting Room Etiquette

• Mobile phones must not be answered in these areas.
  
• Only food or drink purchased from the club may be consumed in the above areas.
  
  • With prior permission, exceptions may be made for children and those with allergies or medical dietary requirements
    
  • With prior permission, certain exceptions for private events, i.e. celebratory cake or speciality drinks. In the event of drinks, however, a corkage fee will apply
    
• No smoking or vaping in the clubhouse.
  
• Dress code to be adhered to.
  

Guests

• Members may bring guests, but non-members may not use facilities unaccompanied
  
• Members are responsible for their guests’ conduct and attire
  

Enforcement

• Bar staff and the Pro Shop are authorised to enforce these rules
  
• Staff decisions are final
