Local Rule – Ball played from a bunker


When a player's ball lies in a bunker the player may take free relief once by picking up and
replacing the original ball in a relief area in the bunker:

  • Reference Point: Spot of the original ball.
  • Size of Relief Area Measured from Reference Point: 6 inches from the reference point, but with these limits:
  • Limits on Location of Relief Area:
    • Must not be nearer the hole than the reference point,
    • The relief area must not be smoothed before placing, and
    • Must be in the bunker


Penalty for Playing Ball from a Wrong Place in Breach of Local Rule: General Penalty Under Rule 1.3

Local Rule - Flagsticks and Holes

Players are required to leave the flagstick in at all times. Players shall not intentionally
touch the flagstick. Players are allowed to use their putter to rotate and operate the ball
lifting handle without penalty.

Local Rule – Electronic Scoring

Rule 3.3(b) is amended as follows:
Players must mark their own card during the round.
The score shall be verbally verified with a marker at completion of the round.
The player shall submit their score electronically into the club system.
Cards shall be then be handled as the individual competition requirements state.
Penalty for not posting the score electronically: Disqualification under Rule 3.3 (b)
