Ladies Captain: Sheila Kearl Ladies Vice Captain: Carol Pembroke Chester Golf Club has a thriving Ladies Section and prides itself on being friendly and welcoming to all standards of players, including beginners. Competitions are held on Tuesday mornings, but there is an opportunity for working ladies to play at other times. There are a wide range of competitions for the whole range of handicaps, as well as the chance to play friendly golf. Knockout competitions, league and friendly matches are important activities for the club as well as the annual Exchange Day and and Invitation Day. Enjoyable Mixed Competitions are held on Monday Bank holidays which are great social occasions. Many of our ladies enter Open competitions at other clubs and we also hold Opens at Chester. There is a wide range of social activities from the Annual Ball to quiz nights in the winter and Nine and Dine in the summer. The ladies also have dinners on Lady Captain's Day and at Christmas. Bridge is a very popular activity with both playing and social members, and there are regular bridge drives during the winter. We have an impressive and well appointed club house. Lance our caterer, provides excellent meals and snacks at a reasonable price and the club is available for use for private functions.
